Section 9.1 - Introduction(a)The Architects Licensure Law. The Board is organized and functions under the act.(b)Function of the act. The act regulates the examination, licensure and the practice of architecture in this Commonwealth.(c)Authority. This chapter is authorized under section 6 of the act (63 P. S. § 34.6).(d)The Administrative Code. Section 202 of The Administrative Code (71 P. S. § 62), placed the Board as a departmental administrative board in the Department of Public Instruction. Section 1 of the act of June 3, 1963 (P. L. 63, No. 44) (71 P. S. § 62), amended section 202 of The Administrative Code (71 P. S. § 62), by removing the Board from the administrative jurisdiction of the Department of Public Instruction and placing it under the jurisdiction of the Department of State.The provisions of this § 9.1 amended October 22, 1976, effective 10/23/1976, 6 Pa.B. 2668; amended January 30, 1987, effective 1/31/1987, 17 Pa.B. 542.The provisions of this § 9.1 amended under sections 5(a), 6(a), (c) and (d), 8(b) and (c), 10(b), 11(a), 12(a) and (c), 13(h) and 14 of the Architects Licensure Law (63 P. S. §§ 34.5(a), 34.6(a), (c) and (d), 34.8(b) and (c), 34.10(b), 34.11(a), 34.12(a) and (c), 34.13(h) and 34.14).
