Section 42.12 - Waiver of licensure examinationAn applicant may be licensed without examination who presents one of the following to the Board:
(1) Satisfactory evidence on forms provided by the Board, that the applicant is licensed or registered as an occupational therapist or occupational therapy assistant in another state, territory of the United States or the District of Columbia, which has requirements for licensure substantially equivalent to those of the Commonwealth.(2) Satisfactory evidence that the applicant has successfully completed the NBCOT Certification Examination and is currently certified by NBCOT as a registered occupational therapist or an occupational therapy assistant.The provisions of this §42.12 adopted January 27, 1989, effective 1/28/1989, 19 Pa.B. 335; amended December 7, 2001, effective 12/8/2001, 31 Pa.B. 6663.The provisions of this §42.12 issued under sections 5(b) and 8(2) of the Occupational Therapy Practice Act (63 P.S. §§ 1505(b) and 1508(2)).
