Section 25.605 - Biennial renewalA volunteer license shall be renewed biennially on forms provided by the Board.
(1) As a condition of biennial renewal, the applicant shall satisfy the same continuing education requirements as the holder of an active, unrestricted license under § 25.271 (relating to requirements for renewal), including at least 2 hours in approved courses in child abuse recognition and reporting in accordance with § 25.417(b) (relating to child abuse recognition and reporting- mandatory training requirement).(2) The applicant shall be exempt from § 25.231 (relating to schedule of fees) pertaining to the biennial renewal fee and shall be exempt from § 25.283 (relating to biennial renewal of license) with regard to the maintenance of liability insurance coverage under section 711 of the Medical Care Availability and Reduction of Error (MCARE) Act (40 P.S. § 1303.711) as provided in section 9 of the Volunteer Health Services Act (35 P.S. § 449.49).Amended by Pennsylvania Bulletin, Vol 53, No. 52.
