Section 171.35 - Subpoenas(a) Upon payment of the appropriate fee by a party, the Administrator will issue subpoenas to require the attendance of witnesses and the production of documents and tangible things at a deposition or an arbitration hearing.(b) Any witness who refuses to obey a subpoena issued by the Administrator or an arbitration panel; who refuses to be sworn or affirmed or to testify; or who is guilty of any contempt after summons to appear may be punished for contempt of court. The contempt of court proceedings shall be held in the court of common pleas in the county in which the cause of action arose.(c) Subsections (a) and (b) supersede 1 Pa. Code § 35.142 (relating to subpoenas).
