(a) Each room or space and each working space about equipment shall have suitable means of exit which shall be kept clear of obstructions.(b) If the plan of the room or space and the character and arrangement of equipment are such that an accident would be liable to prevent an employe from getting out of the room through a single exit, as in the case of long narrow rooms, platforms or passageways, a second exit shall, if practicable, be provided.
