Section 25.83 - Air hoists(a) To prevent piston rod lock nuts from becoming loose and allowing the rod to drop when supporting a load, the lock nut shall be secured to the piston rod by a castellated nut and cotterpin.(b) A clevis or other means shall be used to prevent the hoist cylinder from becoming detached from the hanger.
