Section 279.211 - Signs and markers(a) A person or municipality that operates a transfer facility shall identify the facility and the recycling drop-off center required under § 279.272 (relating to recycled materials collection center) for the duration of operations by posting and maintaining a sign which will be clearly visible and can be easily seen and read at the junction of each access road and public road unless otherwise approved by the Department. The sign shall be constructed of a durable, weather-resistant material. The sign shall show the name, business address and telephone number of the person or municipality that operates the facility, the operating hours of the facility and the number of the current permit authorizing operations at the facility.(b) Permit area markers and the benchmark for horizontal and vertical control shall be:(1) Posted and maintained for the duration of the operation to which they pertain.(2) Clearly visible, readable and uniform throughout the operation.(3) Permanently fixed and made of a durable material.The provisions of this §279.211 amended December 22, 2000, effective 12/23/2000, 30 Pa.B. 6685.
