Section 293.215 - Operations and equipment(a) Loading, unloading, storage, compaction and related activities shall be conducted in an enclosed building, unless otherwise approved by the Department in the permit.(b) The operator shall maintain on the site equipment necessary for operation of the facility in accordance with the permit. The equipment shall be maintained in an operable condition.(c) If a breakdown of the operator's equipment occurs, the operator shall utilize standby equipment as necessary to comply with the act, the environmental protection acts, this subchapter and its permit conditions.(d) Equipment shall be operated and maintained to prevent solid waste from being unintentionally removed from the storage area.(e) Equipment shall be cleaned at frequencies specified in the permit based on scheduled or emergency maintenance periods.(f) The operator of a transfer facility shall inspect and monitor incoming waste to ensure that the receipt of waste is consistent with this article.The provisions of this § 293.215 amended January 12, 2001, effective 1/13/2001, 31 Pa.B. 235.
