Section 129.13 - Sulfur recovery plants(a) No person may permit the emission into the outdoor atmosphere, at any time, from a plant used for recovering elemental sulfur from gases containing sulfur compounds, of sulfur oxides, expressed as SO2, in excess of the rate determined by the formula: A = .32E-.5
where:
A = Allowable emissions in pounds of sulfur oxides per pound of sulfur compounds, expressed as S, in the feed gases, and
E = Recovery plant rating in long tons of sulfur per day.
(b) Allowable emissions under this section are graphically indicated in Appendix A.The provisions of this § 129.13 adopted September 10, 1971, effective 9/11/1971, 1 Pa.B. 1804; amended March 3, 1972, effective 3/20/1972, 2 Pa.B. 383.
