Rule 803(2) - Excited Utterance(2)Excited Utterance. A statement relating to a startling event or condition, made while the declarant was under the stress of excitement that it caused. When the declarant is unidentified, the proponent shall show by independent corroborating evidence that the declarant actually perceived the startling event or condition.The provisions of this Rule 803(2) adopted January 17, 2013, effective in sixty days, 43 Pa.B. 620; amended October 25, 2018, effective 12/1/2018, 48 Pa.B. 7111.
