Section 73.189 - Guidelines for civil penalties(a) The Board may levy civil penalties for violations of the act or for operation of a school without being licensed or registered.(b) For a first violation, a penalty of not more than $500 may be assessed. For a second violation within 3 years, a penalty of not more than $750 may be assessed. For a third violation within 3 years, a penalty of not more than $1,000 may be assessed.(c) Nothing in this section prohibits the Board from causing the suspension or revocation of a license or registration issued under its authority in addition to a civil penalty which is imposed. This section cited in 22 Pa. Code § 73.183 (relating to violations by licensees); and 22 Pa. Code § 73.184 (relating to reporting of potential violation).
