Section 581-030-1100 - Requirements for Student Withdrawal in an Approved Recovery School

When a student withdraws from an approved recovery school for a reason other than graduation from high school, the approved recovery school shall:

(1) Provide to the school district in which the student resides written notice that the student has withdrawn.
(2) Provide to the student's parent, legal guardian or person in parental relationship written information about:
(a) Compulsory attendance requirements;
(b) The responsibility of the school district in which the student resides to identify, locate, and evaluate students who reside in the school district to determine if students qualify for special education and related services; and
(c) How to contact the school district in which the student resides in order to answer questions or provide information related to special education and related services.
