Section 333-275-0020 - Certification of Hemodialysis Technicians RequiredAfter January 1, 2000 hemodialysis technicians must have a current, valid Oregon CHDT certificate and be listed on the CHDT Registry prior to assuming or continuing hemodialysis technician duties.
(1) A hemodialysis technician hired before January 1, 2000, and who has been employed as a hemodialysis technician for a minimum of 1,000 hours since January 1, 1998, must participate in a Division-approved, abbreviated hemodialysis technician training program and having done so, pass a Division-approved examination prior to certification. Evidence of successful completion of a Division-approved, national certification examination will be accepted as meeting the requirement for an examination.(2) A hemodialysis technician hired after January 1, 2000, and who has been employed as a hemodialysis technician for a minimum of 1,000 hours within the preceding twenty-four (24) month period, must participate in a Division-approved, abbreviated hemodialysis technician training program and having done so, pass a Division-approved examination prior to certification. Evidence of successful completion of a Division-approved, national certification examination will be accepted as meeting the requirement for an examination.(3) A hemodialysis technician hired after January 1, 2000, and who has not been employed as a hemodialysis technician for a minimum of 1,000 hours since January 1, 1998, must participate in a Division-approved hemodialysis technician extended training program and having done so, pass a Division-approved examination prior to certification.Or.
