Section 800:25-7-154.1 - Wichita Mountains NWR

(a) Hunting, fishing, and all other activities on National Wildlife Refuges and National Fish Hatcheries under the US Fish and Wildlife Service shall be in accordance with all applicable state and federal regulations and all special regulations posted on signs or in brochures. Brochures are found on-line at (https://www/fws/gov/refuges/refugeLocatorMaps/Oklahoma.html) and at the headquarters of each refuge or hatchery.

(b) The following hunting and trapping seasons apply to the Wichita Mountains NWR:

(1) Quail: Closed season.

(2) Pheasant: Closed season.

(3) Prairie chicken: Closed season.

(4) Turkey - Fall:

(A) Archery: Closed season.

(B) Gun: Closed season.

(5) Turkey - Spring: Controlled Hunts Only.

(6) Squirrel: Closed season.

(7) Rabbit: Closed season.

(8) Crow: Closed season.

(9) Dove: Closed season.

(10) Rail and gallinule: Closed season.

(11) Common snipe: Closed season.

(12) Woodcock: Closed season.

(13) Deer - archery: Closed season.

(14) Deer - primitive firearms: Closed season.

(15) Deer - gun: Controlled hunts only.

(16) Trapping: Closed season.

(17) Pursuit with hounds: Closed season.

(18) Predator/furbearer calling: Open to participants of other controlled hunts.

(19) Waterfowl: Contact Refuge for special restrictions.
