General provisions; fee. Those persons qualified through the Department of Public Safety as being physically disabled may register a vehicle that is specially equipped due to the disability of the owner or of a family member related within the second degree of consanguinity, for a reduced fee plus an insurance verification fee. An Affidavit for Physically Disabled Registration Rate must be completed by the owner and accompany the request for the reduced rate.
