Section 670:15-1-4 - Application by person licensed by another country
(a) Any person who holds a valid license to operate a motor vehicle equivalent to a Class D motor vehicle, as defined by 47 O.S. §1-107.4, issued by another country may apply to Service Oklahoma for an Oklahoma driver license [47 O.S. §6-110(A)(2)] provided, the driving record must:
(1) be issued within the immediately previous six (6) months;
(2) be in English, and
(3) bear the expiration date of the person's driver license.
(b) Upon approval of the application by Service Oklahoma, the applicant shall surrender to Service Oklahoma the driver license from the other country, and Service Oklahoma will issue to the person an Oklahoma driver license.
(c) Service Oklahoma may cancel the Oklahoma driver license of the person, whereupon the person shall surrender the driver license to Service Oklahoma [47 O.S. §6-201(A)], for any of the following reasons:
(1) The driving record is not available from the other country.
(2) The driving record is not forwarded from the other country within ninety (90) days of the application.
(3) The driving record indicates any type of withdrawal of driving privileges.
(4) The driving record is not available in English or is not forwarded in English.
