Section 655:25-3-3 - Death

If a notary dies during the term of commission, the notary's heirs or personal representative, as soon as reasonably practicable after death, shall:

(1) destroy the official seal(s).;

(2) submit a written notice of the date of death to the Secretary of State, signed by an heir or personal representative of the deceased notary.
