Section 655:1-1-5 - Availability of documents(a) Documents recorded in the Office of the Secretary of State shall not be removed from the Office unless they are transferred to the Oklahoma Department of Libraries, or unless otherwise provided by Oklahoma Statutes. Documents may be stored at additional off-site storage facilities as determined by the Secretary of State or his or her designee.(b) Except as otherwise specifically provided in this Title, public records filed in the Office of the Secretary of State are available pursuant to the following: (1) Record requests made in the office must be made no later than 5:00 p.m.(2) Record requests made electronically may be made at any time.(c) Documents required to be recorded in the Office of the Secretary of State are public record. Except as otherwise specifically provided in this Title, Certificates of Fact and copies of all documents on record may be obtained by placing an order between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday - Friday in the office and by payment of fees required by 28 O.S., Section 111.A.(3). Orders may also be obtained by placing an order electronically and by payment of fees required by 28.O.S., Section 111.1(3).(d) Copies of documents must be made only from the original document on record in the Office of the Secretary of State.(e) Access to documents transferred to the Oklahoma Department of Libraries or off-site storage facilities will be coordinated by Secretary of State personnel and will be limited to the Office of the Secretary of State.(f) The procedures in (a) through (e) of this Section protect the integrity and organization of the records and prevent excessive disruption of the essential functions of the Secretary of State's Office.Okla.
