Section 595:45-3-4 - Course of study and instruction (curriculum)(a)In general. A prescribed course of study and instruction, or curriculum, for a boating safety course shall be designed to develop and instill the knowledge, attitudes, habits, and skills necessary for the safe operation of vessels, encompassing: (1) NASBLA National Boating Education Standards.(2) Those provisions of the Oklahoma Boating Safety Regulation Act (63 O.S., § 4200 et seq.) and other laws and administrative rules of this state relating to the operation of vessels;(3) Acceptance of personal responsibility while operating a vessel; and(4) Appreciation of the causes, seriousness, and consequences of vessel collisions.(b)Course content. The content of the boating safety course course shall include, but not be limited to, the minimum NASBLA standards as they exist at the time the course is instructed.(c)Examination. A final written examination that conforms the NASBLA National Boating Education Standards shall be administered.Okla. Admin. Code § 595:45-3-4
