Section 365:20-1-1 - Purpose

The purpose of this chapter is to set forth the requirements for issuance of a title insurance policy. 36 O.S. 1981 §5001 mandates certain requirements of title insurance policies. Three separate Attorney General's opinion, Attorney General Opinions 78-151, 80-104 and 82-46, have interpreted and reiterated this section. This chapter will formalize the statute and its interpretations.
