Section 340:105-10-84 - Home delivered meals planning(a)Policy. The home delivered meals service conducts appropriate meal planning with the consultation of persons competent in the field of nutrition, food service, and the needs of older persons.(b)Authority. The authority for this Section is Part 1321.11 of Title 45 of the Code of Federal Regulations.(c)Procedures. Procedures to implement this Section include the home delivered meals: (1) service complies with the congregate meals planning standards outlined in OAC 340:105-10-75;(2) service makes arrangements for the availability of meals in weather related emergencies, where feasible;(3) numbers served are determined by the Area Agency on Aging based on needs assessment information, allocation of Title III-C(2) funds, and service unit costs;(4) may be hot, cold, frozen, dried, or canned with a satisfactory storage life and must conform to procurement standards outlined in OAC 340:105-10-76; and(5) service may include the delivery of more than one meal for each day's consumption provided that proper storage and heating facilities are available in the recipient's home.(d)Cross references.
