Section 340:105-10-82 - Home delivered meals service standards(a)Policy. The home delivered meals service includes providing at least one hot or other appropriate meal to eligible homebound persons in their own home five or more days per week. Possible exceptions in rural areas where such frequency is not feasible are defined by the Assistant Secretary for Aging of the Administration for Community Living by regulation, and Oklahoma Human Services approves a lesser frequency. All home delivered meals service providers comply with applicable standards outlined in Oklahoma Administrative Code (OAC) 340:105-10-51, 340:105-10-68, and 340:105-10-74 through 340:105-10-79.(b)Authority. The authority for this Section is Section 336 of the Older Americans Act of 1965, as amended.(c)Procedures. The procedures for implementing this Section include the Area Agency on Aging: (1) incorporating the provisions in this Section into the Title III policies and procedures manual;(2) providing orientation on the policy to home delivered meals service staff;(3) monitoring compliance with the policy; and(4) providing ongoing technical assistance to Title III projects regarding the policy.(d)Cross references.
