Section 310:677-3-10 - Content of the competency examination(a) The written or oral examination portion of the competency examination, in English, shall: (1) Allow a nurse aide to choose between a written and an oral examination.(2) Address each requirement specified in the minimum curriculum prescribed by the Department. (3) Be developed from a pool of test questions, only a portion of which is used in any one (1) examination.(4) Use a system that prevents disclosure of both the pool of test questions and the individual competency examination results.(5) If oral, the examination portion shall be read from a prepared text in a neutral manner.(b) The skills examination portion of the competency examination shall: (1) Consist of randomly selected items drawn from a pool of tasks generally performed by nurse aides except as provided in section 9-5 (b).(2) Be performed in an entity in which the individual will function as a nurse aide or a similar laboratory setting.(3) Be administered and evaluated by a qualified clinical skills observer.Okla.
