Section 260:135-7-76 - Display of vehicle license plates(a) Vehicle license plates shall be firmly affixed to the rear of the vehicle, provided however, trucks registered under the International Registration Plan shall have the plates firmly attached to the front.(b) Trucks with a gross vehicle weight rating exceeding 26,000 pounds may have the plates firmly attached to the front or rear.(c) Vehicle license plates shall be a affixed and displayed in such a manner that the letters and numerals shall be read from left to right parallel to the ground.(d) No vehicle license plate may be displayed in an inverted or reversed position, or in such a manner that the letters and numerals are not readily identifiable.(e) No vehicle license plate may be displayed in this state, regardless of where such vehicle is registered, which has been covered, overlaid, or otherwise screened with any material, whether such material is clear, translucent, tinted, or opaque.Okla.
