Settlement discussions are appropriate and encouraged at any stage of the complaint process. The parties may elect to enter into settlement discussions on their own. Any settlement agreement shall be submitted to the Civil Service Division and shall be reviewed and approved before dismissal of the complaint will be entertained. All settlement agreements are enforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction. All settlement agreements will be treated as confidential.
