Section 252:710-1-6 - Validated examinations
(a) An applicant shall take and pass an examination that demonstrates that the operator has the necessary skills, knowledge, ability and judgment as appropriate for the classification. The applicant must answer at least seventy percent (70%) of the questions correctly on the examination. An applicant who does notreceive a passing grade on the examination must wait a minimum of thirty (30) days to retake the examination.
(b) Validated examinations shall be administered by DEQ or its designee at such times and places as necessary.
(c) Examinations, answer sheets and test scores are confidential and shall not be disclosed to any person except the applicant. Proper identification may be required.
(d) An applicant determined to have cheated on an examination shall be deemed to have failed the examination and shall be prohibited from applying for certification for a period of twelve (12) months.
(e) DEQ may give oral examinations to Distribution and Collection Technicians who are unable to take a written examination.
