Section 252:515-11-31 - Liner construction standards

(a)MSWLFs, NHIW landfills and other land disposal facilities. The reconstructed clay liner portion of the composite liner system must:

(1) be at least two feet thick with a hydraulic conductivity no greater than 1.0 x 10^-7 cm/sec; and

(2) meet the requirements of and be constructed in accordance with this Part and the approved QA/QC plan.

(b)C&D landfills. A reconstructed clay liner installed at a C&D landfill must:

(1) be at least three feet thick with a hydraulic conductivity no greater than 1.0 x 10^-5 cm/sec; and

(2) meet the requirements of and be constructed in accordance with this Part and the approved QA/QC plan.
