Section 123:1-39-01 - Professional development fund(A) All full-time permanent and part-time permanent employees of a participating agency, who are paid directly by warrant of the director of budget and management and are exempt from collective bargaining coverage, are eligible to participate in programs funded by the professional development fund.(B) Professional development is education or training that builds or improves an employee's capabilities. Payments for professional development will be used for tuition reimbursement for educational assistance programs such as college courses, conferences, continuing education instruction, seminars, and webinar trainings successfully completed; professional licenses and certifications; and professional membership fees and/or dues.
