Section 69.5-01-07-15 - Coggins test1.Certified required. No horse may be allowed to enter, start, or be stabled on the grounds of the racing establishment unless a valid negative coggins test certificate is presented.2.Trainer responsibility. In the event of claims, sales, or transfers, it is the responsibility of the new trainer to ascertain the validity of the certificate for the horse within twenty-four hours. If the certificate is either unavailable or invalid, the previous trainer is responsible for any reasonable cost associated with obtaining a coggins certificate.3.Positive test reports. Whenever any owner or trainer is furnished a coggins test positive result that the owner's or trainer's horse has equine infectious anemia (EIA), the horse must be removed by the owner or trainer from association premises or approved farms within twenty-four hours of actual notice of the infection to the owner or trainer.
