Section 67.1-04-04-01 - Establishment1.Duties. The education standards and practices board shall: a. Establish and administer a teacher support program; and b. Employ an individual to serve as a teacher support program coordinator. 2.Educator mentor program. The board shall select and train experienced teachers who will serve as mentors for first-year teachers and assist the first-year teachers with instructional skills development. 3.Coaching. The board shall select and train experienced teachers who will work with administrators to identify the needs of nonfirst-year teachers using research-validated interventions and proven instructional methods.
