Section 38-07-03-01 - Vehicle safety standardsEach vehicle used for driver training instruction must comply with all federal and state motor vehicle safety standards for the model year of the vehicle and must have the following equipment:
1. Dual control brakes. Not applicable in trucks for truck driving schools. 2. Dual control clutch pedal, when applicable. 3. External rearview mirrors on left and right sides of the vehicle. 4. Padded dashboard and sun visors. Not applicable in trucks for truck driving schools. 5. Safety restraint for each occupant of the vehicle. 6. Air bags if originally equipped. N.D.
