Section 33.1-23-02-18 - Certification status1. A laboratory may not alter or misrepresent its certification status and attending documents issued by the department in any brochures, promotional literature, or advertising materials. A laboratory may not describe its certification status in a manner that implies certification in areas that are outside the actual scope of certification. General statements, such as "A North Dakota Certified Laboratory" or "Certified in North Dakota" are not specific enough and can be misleading. The department may require appropriate corrective action, including publication of a retraction of the misleading information.2.
