Section 33-24-05-856 - Eligible wastes for the storage and treatment conditional exemption

Low-level mixed waste, defined in section 33-24-05-850, is eligible for this conditional exemption if it is generated and managed by a generator, treater, or other handler under a single nuclear regulatory commission or nuclear regulatory commission agreement state license. (Mixed waste generated at a facility with a different license number and shipped to a facility for storage or treatment requires a permit and is ineligible for this exemption. In addition, NARM waste is ineligible for this exemption.)
