Section 33-24-05-425 - Standards - Sampling connection systems1. Each sampling connection system must be equipped with a closed-purge, closed-loop, or closed-vent system. This system must collect the sample purge for return to the process or for routing to the appropriate treatment system. Gases displaced during filling of the sample container are not required to be collected or captured. 2. Each closed-purge, closed-loop, or closed-vent system as required in subsection 1 must meet one of the following requirements: a. Return the purged process fluid directly to the process line; b. Collect and recycle the purged process fluid; or c. Be designed and operated to capture and transport all the purged process fluid to a waste management unit that complies with the applicable requirements of sections 33-24-05-454 through 33-24-05-456 or a control device that complies with the requirements of section 33-24-05-430. 3.
