Section 01E .0705 - ADMINISTRATION(a) The Office of State Human Resources shall administer a self-insured workers' compensation program for workers' compensation claims arising in State agencies.(b) The Office of State Human Resources self-insured workers' compensation program for State agencies shall: (1) Contract with vendor(s) for services for workers' compensation claims arising in State agencies;(2) Act as intermediary between vendor(s) and State agencies; and(3) Monitor contracted vendor(s) performance.(c) Each State agency shall pay for workers' compensation expenditures for injuries arising out of and in the course of employment with that State agency.(d) The Office of State Human Resources shall:(1) Monitor status of workers' compensation claims arising in State agencies;(2) Issue claim handling guidelines for workers' compensation claims arising in State agencies; and(3) Issue workers' compensation related educational materials for use in State agencies.25 N.C.
