Section 4002.14 - Certain disqualifications
(a) No person shall be eligible for an owner's or trainer's license if, during the term of such license, he or she would practice as farrier, veterinarian, or veterinary technician with horses racing under the jurisdiction of the commission; provided, however, that a duly licensed owner may personally shoe a horse owned by him or her upon applying for and receiving a certificate of fitness therefore from the commission.
(b) Disqualification of a licensee from having a license applies equally to the licensee's spouse, unless the spouse of the disqualified person shows to the satisfaction of the commission that ownership and racing of his or her horses are independent of or not under the control or influence of the disqualified spouse.
