Section 7440.4 - Fire prevention and safety practices and training(a) The facility director, or person acting in that capacity, shall designate one or more staff members to conduct regular fire and safety inspections of all areas of the facility to determine whether a fire hazard exists, and shall take the necessary action to correct such hazard.(b) Such inspections shall be conducted at least once every week, and the results of such inspections shall be recorded in a facility log maintained for such purpose.(c) Prior to assuming any duties, such appointed staff member(s) shall have successfully completed appropriate specialized training approved by the Office of Fire Prevention and Control.N.Y.
