Section 5.29 - Executive Order No. 29: Revoking Certain Executive Orders that have been Superseded by Statute. [*]

WHEREAS, Executive Order No. 3, issued January 5, 1995, directed a comprehensive review of all executive orders and amendments thereto in effect as of that date; and

WHEREAS, during the course of that review it has become apparent that numerous executive orders have been rendered obsolete or superfluous by changed circumstances or otherwise;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, GEORGE E. PATAKI, Governor of the State of New York, by virtue of the authority vested in me by the Constitution and Laws of the State of New York, do hereby order that the executive orders listed below, which have been superseded by statute, are revoked by this Executive Order.

Executive Order No. 21, issued August 3, 1983 (Prescribing Arrangements for Establishing a State Program for Contract Compliance and Minority and Women-Owned Business Enterprise) (Superseded by chapter 261 of the Laws of 1988, as amended);

Executive Order No. 63, issued May 17, 1985 (Creating the State Historical Records Advisory Board and the Position of State Historical Records Coordinator) (Superseded by chapter 42 of the Laws of 1987, as amended);

Executive Order No. 74, issued September, 12, 1985 (Establishing a State Records Management Council) (Superseded by chapter 261 of the Laws of 1988, as amended);

Executive Order No. 87, issued October 24, 1986 (Prescribing Procedures to Allocate the United State Bond Volume Ceiling Under the Tax Reform Act of 1986) (Expired on December 31, 1987 and superseded by legislation annually; see, chapter 127 of the Laws of 1995);

Executive Order No. 117, issued December 28, 1988 (Board of Public Disclosure) (Superseded by chapter 813 of the Laws 1987, as amended);

Executive Order No. 118, issued December 28, 1988 (Integrated Energy Resource Plan) (Superseded by chapter 519 of the Laws of 1992, as amended);

Executive Order No. 123, issued April 19, 1989 (Establishing the Office for the Prevention of Domestic Violence) (Superseded by chapter 463 of the Laws of 1992, as amended);

Executive Order No. 127, issued July 21, 1989 (Not-for-Profit Contracting Process) (Superseded by chapter 166 of the Laws of 1991, as amended); and

Executive Order No. 136, issued March 3, 1990 (Establishing a State Program for Voter Registration) (Superseded by chapter 79 of the Laws of 1992, as amended).
