Section 145-4.2 - Eligibility requirements

Upon application, student aid, in an amount to be determined each year by the commissioner, shall be granted annually for full-time or part-time study to each Native American who:

(a) is a resident of New York State, and is on an official tribal roll of a New York State tribe or is the child of an enrolled member of a New York State tribe;
(b) maintains good academic standing, as defined by section 145-2.2 of this Part; and
(c) is enrolled in an approved program as defined by subdivisions (b) and (c) of section 145-2.3 of this Part, or a five-year program as defined by section 145-2.7 of this Part. A student who receives aid for two years in an associate's degree program may continue to receive aid upon transfer to a baccalaureate program.
