Section 79-3.4 - Licensing examinations(a) A candidate shall pass two separate examinations, satisfactory to the board, prior to certification.(b) One examination shall test, but shall not be limited to testing, the applicant's knowledge of interior design theory, building and interior systems, planning, contract documents, and professional practice.(c) The other examination shall test the applicant's knowledge relative to fire, safety, and building codes.(d) Education requirements for admission. Notwithstanding the provisions of section 59.2 of this Title, an applicant for certification shall not be required to satisfy all education requirements before being admitted to a professional licensing examination in interior design. Such education requirements shall be completed prior to certification.(e) Grade retention. The grade retention limitations of section 59.5(f) of this Title shall not be applicable to a professional licensing examination in interior design.(f) Passing standard.
