Section 71.2 - Experience requirements

(a) The applicant shall submit satisfactory evidence of at least three years' experience as a full-time verbatim shorthand reporter using either manual shorthand or shorthand writing machine.

(b) In lieu of the professional study and experience requirements, five years of experience as a full-time verbatim shorthand reporter acceptable to the State Board for Certified Shorthand Reporting may be accepted by the department.
