Section 3.52 - Vacancies in institutions

In case the office of chief executive of an institution in the university shall be vacant for one year without satisfactory excuse therefor, the Regents may fill the vacancy. The person so appointed shall continue in office during the pleasure of the Regents, and shall have the same powers, salary, emoluments and privileges as his immediate predecessor in office; or, if he had no immediate predecessor, he shall have such salary as the Regents shall direct to be paid by such institution.
