Pursuant to article 17 of the Environmental Conservation Law, after proper study and following a public hearing held on due notice, the Department of Environmental Conservation (Department) hereby adopts and assigns the following classifications and standards of quality and purity to all surface waters within the Lake Champlain drainage basin, as hereinafter described.
