Section 190.40 - Adirondack Rail TrailIn addition to other applicable general provisions of this Part, the following requirements apply to the Adirondack Rail Trail. In the event of a conflict between this section and another section of this Part, the more restrictive provision will control.
(a) Description. For purposes of this section the Adirondack Rail Trail shall mean the section of State land under the jurisdiction of the department beginning at Station Street in Lake Placid and ending at the Tupper Lake Depot in Tupper Lake within the Remsen-Lake Placid Travel Corridor in the Town of North Elba in Essex County, and the Towns of Har-rietstown, Santa Clara, and Tupper Lake in Franklin County.(b) No person, by any means, shall travel on any portion of the Adirondack Rail Trail at a speed in excess of the posted speed limit, nor shall any person fail to comply with any traffic control sign or device along the Adirondack Rail Trail.N.Y.
