Section 1260.40 - Operation of cutting torches and like devices restricted

No person shall operate an oxy-acetylene torch, electric arc or similar flame or spark producing device on any part of an air terminal except in areas within leased premises specifically designated for such use by the manager, without first obtaining a cutting and welding permit from the manager. No such permit will be issued for such operations within an aircraft hangar, within any fuel storage area, fuel truck parking or service area, or upon any components or section of the hydrant fuel distribution system, unless the work is required for repair in the said areas or hangars or fuel systems. Where such operation is required, specific permission subject to manager's conditions must be obtained. Such operations required in tank truck parking and service areas, fuel storage areas, or upon the components of the hydrant fuel distribution system, a "hot work" permit must be obtained from the manager.
