Section 1242.2 - Day, definition of
(a) A period of 24 hours beginning at midnight, or any fraction thereof, except that for the purpose of computing dockage charges, a day shall mean a period of 24 hours from the recorded time of a watercraft's arrival, or any fraction thereof.
(b) In computing a day of 24 hours, for the purpose of determining the charges established in this section, the Port Authority may allow a period not to exceed 30 minutes additional time upon written request of the owner, operator or general agent of the vessel if for any reason the vessel is unable to leave the berth before the expiration of the 24 hour period.
