Section 1204.0 - General

Traffic with the characteristics indicated in sections 1204.1, 1204.2 and Article 2 of this Subchapter are considered likely to impede the steady flow of traffic across a Port Authority vehicular crossing and are prohibited from using facilities except with special permission, granted by the manager or his designated representative. Permission must be requested at least two hours prior to intended passage. If permission is granted, passage may be restricted to the time and circumstances established by the manager or his representative, and the following inspection charges shall apply:

(a) If the inspection is made on a Port Authority vehicular crossing, an additional charge equal to one half the established toll.
(b) If the inspection is made within the Port of New York district, but not on Port Authority property, a charge of five dollars plus an additional charge equal to one half the established toll.
(c) If the inspection is made elsewhere, a charge equal to the actual expenses incurred by the Port Authority in making the inspection plus an additional charge equal to one half the established toll.
