Section 1025.9 - Combustible liquids

(a) Combustible liquids are not restricted when in containers of 55 gallons capacity or less. Containers which have a capacity of greater than 55 gallons and tank vehicles are permitted passage, provided the shipping papers show the notation, "FLASH POINT AT OR ABOUT 100 ° F."

(b) No tank vehicle, loaded or empty, shall enter the Queens Midtown Tunnel, the Brooklyn-Battery Tunnel or the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge Lower Level if the vehicle is used in the transportation of formaldehyde solution, provided the accompanying shipping papers show them to be empty, that is, with residue not in excess of 50 gallons.
