Section 1001.1 - DefinitionsUnless expressly otherwise provided, whenever used in this Part, the following terms shall mean or include:
(a) Authority. The authority to which an application for access to records is made pursuant to this Part.(b) Secretary. The secretary of the authority, or his delegate, or such other officer or employee as shall be designated by the authority to perform one or more of the duties herein assigned to the secretary.(c) Chairman. The chairman of the Metropolitan Transportation Authority, or his delegate, or such other officer or employee as shall be designated by the Metropolitan Transportation Authority to perform one or more of the duties herein assigned to the chairman.(d) Rules. The rules set forth in this Part.(e) Record. That information, kept, held, filed, produced or reproduced by, with or for the authority, in any physical form whatsoever including, but not limited to, reports, statements, examinations, memoranda, opinions, folders, files, books, manuals, pamphlets, forms, papers, designs, drawings, maps, photos, letters, microfilms, computer tapes or discs, rules, regulations or codes, which is required to be made available by the authority for public inspection and/or copying under the terms and conditions of the Freedom of Information Law.N.Y.
