Section 110.6 - Fees for copying records
(a) The fee for copying records shall be 25 cents per page for photocopies not exceeding 9 x 14 inches.
(b) The fee for copies of records not covered by subdivision (a) of this section shall not exceed the actual reproduction cost, which is the average unit cost for copying a record, excluding fixed costs of the department such as operator salaries.
(c) No fee shall be charged for:
(1) the search for a record;
(2) the inspection of a record;
(3) the copying of a record by the person inspecting the record; or
(4) the certification of a record by the records access officer or any certification given by that officer in connection with the inspection of records.
(d) No fee shall be charged for "reports, documents or pamphlets furnished to the governor, a member of the legislature, a representative of the press, the head of any State department" (State Finance Law, § 15[5]).
